My payment was declined and I lost access
When a renewal payment fails, access is removed automatically. Updating your payment method restores it without any action from us.
If a renewal fails, Whop removes your access automatically. Nothing has been taken away from you deliberately, and you do not need to buy a new membership.
Fix it yourself
- Sign in to Whop and open your orders.
- Find your Poke Alerts membership.
- Choose Update Payment Method. Re-entering the same card is fine.
Access is restored automatically once a payment succeeds, usually within a few minutes.
Useful things to know
- An invoice email is not proof of payment. Whop emails an invoice even when the card is declined, so check the order status rather than trusting the email.
- Whop retries failed payments on its own. If your card will work later, you can wait for the retry.
- A declined card sometimes goes through on the second attempt. If your history shows a decline followed by a success, that is normal.
If updating the card does not work
If you get an error like "this card is already entered and did not go through", the card itself is being refused rather than Whop failing. Try a different payment method, or open a ticket in #๐ฉใปcreate-ticket and we can attempt the charge from our side.
